Gregg A. Anderson
Hello:
In this section you will find some background information about me. If you would like more information about my office please call.
I am a University of Florida College of Law graduate admitted to the Florida Bar in 1990. I am also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. My first job as an attorney was with a private law firm in Gainesville, Florida. The partners’ there were all previously assistant public defenders. I came to appreciate the work of the Public Defender and started working there later in 1990. While at the Office of the Public Defender I handled cases in the Misdemeanor Division, the Juvenile Division and in the Felony Division. For about nine years I was the supervisor for the County Court Division. Representing people at the Office of the Public Defender provided a broad range of experience handling criminal matters. This experience allowed we to develop essential trial skills.
More recently I have expanded my practice to include family law matters. This area of law is also an opportunity to provide service to people facing difficult issues. I enjoy working with and helping people in criminal, family law cases and personal injury cases.
Previously I have taught lawyers at the Gerald T. Bennett, Prosecutor/Public Defender Trial Training Program held at the University of Florida College of Law. I was also employed at the University of Florida College of Law as an adjunct lecturer in the Criminal Clinic for about nine years. I have also coached the UF Trial Team in National Competitions and I am now a Trial Practice Instuctor for the University of Florida College of Law. Teaching is very rewarding and I learn a great deal from the experience.
For about two years I was a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), as the chapter representative for the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Being on the board exposed me to lawyers from all over the state and was a great experience. If you are interested you may find out more about FACDL at www.facdl.org. In addition I am a member of the Criminal Law and Family Law Sections of The Florida Bar. You may find more information about The Florida Bar at www.floridabar.org.
I handle these types of cases because I want to help people with difficult situations. I also ride a motorcycle for fun and responsible transportation and I understand the dangers faced by those using more vulnerable means of transportation. If you are injured by an irresponsible driver I am happy to help you hold the person responsible for their actions.
If you would like more information or if we can help with a legal matter please call anytime at 352.226.3089.
Sincerely,
Gregg Anderson
